August 13, 2011 - Traversarea Tarniţei
(Cross swimming of Lake Tarniţa), 5th edition
Orca Swimming Club invites swimmers on the 13 th of August, at 10 o'clock, to swim the race or, at least, to assist at the fifth edition of the cross swimming of Lake Tarniţa, located at 30 km from Cluj-Napoca.
Orca Swimming Club is the first Hobby Swimmers’ Association in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and has about 40 members, all of them being hobby swimmers.
The first edition of the race took place on the 28th of July 2007 and there were 14 participants, all of them completing the 6.5 km race. This first edition was an important step to bring together a group of people and to initiate the foundation of Orca Swimming Club in Cluj-Napoca, at the beginning of 2008.
Lake Tarniţa crossing race means swimming along the length of the lake. Beside the long distance race, there will be also a shorter race of 1500m for those who are not enough prepared or don't want to swim longer distances.
This competition is dedicated to swimmers of any age. This event promotes a healthier way of living, but the strain the participants are supposed to do is to be taken into account. This is the reason why we recommend the less experienced swimmers to participate in the shorter race.
The start will be at 10 o'clock for the shorter race and at 11 o'clock for the longer race. Details about the participation and fee are mentioned in the Regulations.

At Motel Gilău please tell them that you are coming for our competition and you will get a double room for 80 lei.

Esti inscris cu numarul de ordine 80, ai primit teoretic si pe e-mail confirmarea de inscriere. Ca sa te gasesti pe site, trebuie sa intri la "inscrisi" si apoi sa alegi "participanti".
